On October 19, 2021, the Conference for Writers' Day: Emilia Pardo Bazán took place in the Assembly Hall of the Pablo Ruiz Picasso Cultural Center.
This event was very well received by all the public who attended, that thanks to the fact that the municipality is already at level 0, there were no capacity restrictions.
It began by presenting the two invited women, María Antonia García de León (lecturer) and Cristina Galán Rubio (companion and person in charge of presenting María Antonia), two great women closely related to the world of literature who commemorated the day the writers speaking from another great woman, Emilia Pardo Bazán, novelist, journalist, feminist, essayist, literary critic, poet, Spanish playwright, translator, editor and lecturer, introducer of naturalism in Spain.
After the presentations, and to introduce María Antonia (writer, doctor in sociology and emeritus professor at the Complutense University of Madrid) by Cristina (writer), the conference centered, as we have already mentioned, on the figure of Emilia Pardo Bazán, also taking advantage of the fact that this year the centenary of this writer is celebrated.
The act ended with a small recital, by María Antonia, related to Emilia Pardo Bazán.
