Torremolinos, October 8, 2021.

The Plaza San Miguel in Torremolinos hosts next Saturday October 9 an activity that combines dances, a catwalk and an exhibition to show popular clothing from the 19th and early 20th centuries. The Culture area of ??the City Council collaborates in this initiative, organized by the Federation of Peñas, Cultural Centers and Regional Houses "La Alzacaba", which tries to bring to the public the costumes and garments with which the people of Malaga have worn over the centuries past.

The exhibition 'This is how they dressed in 19th century Malaga' brings together different clothing, a variety of garments, accessories and accessories collected over the years through extensive research work that reflects the changes experienced by the "fashion" of the time and also the social, ideological and technical characteristics that emerged from those designs.

They can be seen both on stage through a parade by the Manuel Beltrán School of Models and on the posters installed in the square that collect photographs of the garments and a brief description of their origins.
