Children's Reading Club

Group of children from 7 to 11 years old who gather around a main reading week after week, guided through open questions that induce collective debate. A book is selected by consensus from among those proposed by the person in charge of running the club and who will accompany us during all sessions.

At each meeting, time will be spent discussing it and exchanging impressions and lessons learned. In addition, there will be a short joint reading of stories, texts or stories that will be accompanied by a dynamic.

Various formats will be presented to publicize different narrative styles. Each session will start with a small dynamic of relaxation, it will be followed by a debate on the chapter read from the selected book, a presentation of the narrative style and common reading will be made, then there will be a playful dynamic to put into practice what has been learned and, finally , to close the session, an assembly.

To participate in this activity, you have to register by writing an email to Bibliotecapicasso@torremolinos.es or by calling 952 385 182.

In this quarter, the Children's Reading Club will continue to be organized by the Library and will be carried out by the Oleaje Association, more specifically, Cintia Albacete Fernández, responsible for the project.
